Cornwall Residential

Developed as part of a design pitch with Penrose Architects, Cornwall Residential is a collection of three contemporary homes shaped by the landscape and coastal character of Cornwall.

The architecture takes the familiar pitched form of rural buildings and reduces it to a simple, elemental geometry. Dark metal exteriors sit quietly within the landscape, while timber-lined interiors and fully glazed gable ends open the houses towards light, sky and the surrounding landscape.

Our visualisations explored this contrast between a restrained exterior and a warm interior, three simple structures conceived as part of the landscape rather than objects placed within it.
